Return, Refund & Cancellation

At Sohamna Organics, every product is thoughtfully sourced, traditionally crafted, and carefully quality-checked before dispatch. As we deal in food and other perishable products, we maintain strict quality standards to ensure every order reaches you in excellent condition.

This Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the conditions under which cancellations, replacements, and refunds may be requested.

1. Order Cancellation

Customers may request cancellation of an order only before it has been dispatched from our warehouse. Once an order has been dispatched, cancellation requests cannot be accepted. If Sohamna Organics is unable to fulfil an order due to inventory limitations or unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund.

2. Returns

Due to the perishable nature of our food products, we do not accept returns once an order has been successfully delivered, except in the situations mentioned below. Returns or replacements may only be considered if:

  • You receive a damaged product.
  • You receive an incorrect product.
  • An item is missing from your order.
  • The product has a verified manufacturing defect.

Returns will not be accepted for:

  • Change of mind
  • Personal taste or preference
  • Incorrect product ordered by the customer
  • Delays caused by courier partners beyond our reasonable control
  • Improper storage after delivery
  • Normal variations in colour, aroma, flavour, texture, crystallisation (honey), graininess (ghee), or natural sediment (cold-pressed oils), as these are natural characteristics of traditionally processed products.

3. How to Raise a Claim

If you receive a damaged, defective, incorrect, or incomplete order, you must notify our Customer Support Team within 48 hours of delivery. Claims may be submitted by emailing us at:

  • Full Name
  • Registered Mobile Number
  • Description of the issue
  • Clear photographs of the product
  • Clear photographs of the outer shipping package
  • A continuous, unedited unboxing video (as described below)

Claims submitted after 48 hours of delivery may not be eligible for review.

4. Mandatory Unboxing Video

To ensure a fair and transparent claims process, customers are required to submit a continuous, unedited unboxing video for all claims relating to damaged, incorrect, missing, or defective products.

The video must:

  • Begin before opening the sealed outer package.
  • Clearly show the shipping label.
  • Capture the complete unpacking process without pauses, cuts, or edits.
  • Clearly display the product and the issue being reported.

This video serves as important evidence for verifying claims and helps us distinguish between issues that occurred during transit and those that may have occurred after delivery.

Claims submitted without a complete uninterrupted unboxing video may not be eligible for replacement or refund, except where otherwise required under applicable law.

5. Inspection & Verification

Once your claim is received, our Quality Assurance Team will carefully review the information and supporting evidence provided. We may request additional information if necessary to complete our assessment.

Following verification, your request will be:

  • Approved for replacement
  • Approved for refund
  • Declined if it does not meet the eligibility criteria

The decision of Sohamna Organics after completing the verification process shall be final.

6. Replacements

Where possible, Sohamna Organics may offer a replacement product instead of a refund.

Replacement requests are subject to:

  • Product availability
  • Successful verification of the claim

If a replacement product is unavailable, an eligible refund may be issued instead.

7. Refunds

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method used while placing the order. Refunds are generally processed within 5–7 business days after approval. The actual time taken for the amount to reflect in your account may vary depending on your bank or payment service provider. Shipping charges are non-refundable, unless the refund or replacement is required due to an error on the part of Sohamna Organics.

8. Incorrect Shipping Address

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information at the time of placing an order.

Sohamna Organics shall not be responsible for:

  • Incorrect delivery due to inaccurate address details
  • Failed deliveries caused by incorrect contact information
  • Additional shipping charges incurred for re-dispatch

9. Product Quality & Natural Variations

Our products are made using natural ingredients and traditional processing methods.

As a result, slight variations in:

  • Colour
  • Aroma
  • Flavour
  • Texture
  • Crystallisation of honey
  • Graininess of ghee
  • Natural sediment in cold-pressed oils

are completely natural and should not be treated as manufacturing defects or quality issues.

These characteristics are a reflection of authentic, minimally processed food products.

10. Limitation of Liability

Sohamna Organics shall not be liable for refund or replacement requests arising from:

  • Improper storage after delivery
  • Mishandling by the customer
  • Delayed consumption beyond the recommended shelf life
  • Customer preference regarding taste, aroma, or texture
  • Minor natural variations in traditionally processed products

Our liability shall, in all cases, be limited to the value of the product purchased.

11. Policy Updates

Sohamna Organics reserves the right to modify or update this Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time to reflect changes in business operations, legal requirements, or customer service practices.

The revised version will be published on this page together with the updated Effective Date.
